Show Notes

When I asked John Pavlovitz, writer, pastor and activist "How The Hell Did You Get Here From There?! we could have talked hours upon hours.

If you go to his website, you'll find this:

You should be a little weary right now.If you are, be grateful.
That is a good thing.
That weariness is confirmation that your heart is working properly.
It is your humanity responding to so much inhumanity around you.
It is evidence of your goodness still fighting to feel useful.

This was a fascinating conversation.

According to John, "I got here because I cared deeply about humanity and the more aware I've become of the injustices against it and the more that I've been given better stories about people that I used to see only from a distance, the more passionate I've become about caring for humanity.   I think what deep love for people does it propels us into places we wouldn't otherwise step into and it makes us surrounded by people we would never meet any other way.  That is the beautiful path,,, but it is precarious..."

John Pavlovitz is a writer, pastor, and activist from Wake Forest, North Carolina.
